This dish needs simple ingredients and easy recipe for home making.
Ingredients:
1 cup steamed rice
4 abalones
3 tablespoonful sesame oil
soy sauce, as needed
Cooking Direction :
Wash the rice
Soak in water for 30 minutes, drain.
Insert the knife on the bottom of abalone, slice out carefully
( Use the black gall bladder attached to the outside of abalone, if desired. It tastes bitter but it is very nutritious )
Slice thinly, and cut into small pieces
Heat a saucepan
Add the abalones and sesame oil, saute for about 3 minutes
Add rice. Pour 7 cups of water till all the rice covered, stir and make sure nothing sticks to the bottom
Bring to a boil, reduce to simmer, don't stir too much
(Stirring makes the porridge gummy so leave as it is till the rice absorbs most of the water)
It will take about an hour to finish the porridge.
Stir if the rice sticks to the bottom
Add more water if needed till rice loose it's shape and get mush
Serve hot with soy sauce
